Now let’s make that cooking show please! 🙌🏼✨ A HUGE thank you to Dawn Garcia for writing this (page 24).

A CHAT WITH SHANA HALLIGAN (LA Music Blog, featured artist) - Have you seen singer/songwriter Shana Halligan lately? Most likely – she was a featured contestant on NBC’s hit music show The Voice totally owning Cher’s hit “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)”... But she’s been plenty busy before and since her appearance, with her involvement in the trippy/jazzy duo Bitter:Sweet, writing behind-the-scenes for other artists, as well as motherhood... She has returned to her solo venture with the track “Hurricane,” and we were lucky enough to chat with her during her busy schedule to discuss it and a lot more. Click here.

While coming to prominence nationwide, she still incorporates her Los Angeles roots into her work. Halligan says, “I always get inspired here. There are so many different vibes and communities with so much diversity. It’s hard not to feel all of that. Everything I do, touch, taste, experience, and receive energetically from everyone I encounter, along with all the vibrancy I see each day, gets sewn into my music in some way.”

“Growing up, I listened to my dad jamming in the living room with so many incredible musicians. Stevie Nicks would hang out, Herbie Hancock, my dad’s bandmates from Blood, Sweat & Tears and there was loads of jazz,” recalls California pop singer Shana Halligan. Click Here

"Just as a violent wind storm can send homes skyward and rip trees from the earth, love and loss, betrayal and deception can turn our worlds upside down. We are slaves to our hearts; when they ache, our whole beings ache with them. Drowning in heartbreak and sorrow, Shana Halligan’s mournful ballad “Hurricane” delivers a seductive mix of dark pop and sultry jazz that will send even the most stoic souls into a melancholic spiral..." Click Here for more as featured in Atwood Magazine

"In January, she released her new single “Hurricane,” which was synced to YouTube’s Youth & Consequences trailer, which currently sits at over 1 million views. Shana also just wrapped up an appearance on Season 14 of NBC’s The Voice, along with placing two songs in the recent Peter Rabbit film – including a duet with James Corden..."  Click Here for more as featured in fourculture

“My first vinyl purchase. Well… I should really talk about my second. If I dare mention my first it could possibly strip me away of all street cred I thought I once had. It may be so embarrassing that you could possibly have deep regret asking me to do this interview. It may be so bad, that you may think, how could this girl really have come from Rock and Roll royalty?” Click Here For More

Thank you for your support on The Voice!

March 19, 2018

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of their overwhelming support these past weeks on The Voice.

After 2 performances that I couldn't be more proud of, and 2 episodes embracing much of my personal back story as well as showcasing not only my full performances, but my past musical journey, my time on NBC's The Voice has come to an end. I couldn't feel more grateful for the opportunity and excited for all of the tremendous doors this experience is opening for me.

If I'm going to be honest, this was not an easy ride. I had to leave my beloved husband and 2 1/2 year old son for more time than any mama should. I had to face a lot of challenges that were so completely far out of my comfort zone. It took everything I had to stay grounded and at peace with my decision to do this. Let's face it, I'm a pretty out of the box artist for a show as commercial as this, but in the end I feel more powerful and have gained more strength to achieve anything I want to achieve from here on out. The magical opportunities that are flooding in have been a dream. I'm in the studio writing with a collection of THE most talented producers I've worked with to date and the body of work that is coming along with this is my best yet! I can't wait to share all of this music with you and keep you posted with the stunning press, features, and beauty that is the reward for putting myself out there in this way.

"A real clarity of unique individuality... I think she's going to be one of the most interesting people I've ever worked with," said Alicia Keys. "Does she not look like a goddess," said Blake Shelton.  "Wonder Woman," said Kelly Clarkson.

"Halligan is Florence Welch, Lana Del Rey and Sia all in one..." said Allison Bowsher of The Loop.
